NOTS Logistics and Brown Brothers Produce Partner with Washington County EMA for Hurricane Relief Efforts
In times of crisis, communities come together, and local businesses can make a significant impact. Recently, NOTS Logistics partnered with Brown Brothers Produce and the Washington County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) to provide essential aid for those affected by Hurricane Helene. Together, they coordinated the collection and transport of 15 pallets of critical supplies, gathered with the help of the community, to bring much-needed relief to the impacted region including East Tennessee and North Carolina. The journey of these donations began in Washington County, where they were transported by NOTS Logistics and then Brown Brothers Produce to the Bristol Motor Speedway, where the National Guard took over to ensure the goods would reach the communities most in need.

Local Ties Making an Impact on the Road to Hurricane Relief
Norman Roethemeyer, a Brown Brothers Produce driver from Hoyleton, IL, was at the wheel for this delivery. Norman was eager to contribute to the cause and expressed his gratitude to Chris Brown, owner of Brown Brothers, for giving him the opportunity, saying he was “honored to play a part in the relief efforts”. At the Bristol Motor Speedway, where the supplies were handed over to the National Guard, Norman crossed paths with a National Guard member who recognized a connection to his roots as well. The guardsman was raised in Cisne, IL, and noted that his sister lives in Centralia, IL—communities not far from Hoyleton.
