NOTS Logistics Prepares for Supply Chain Acceleration As Global Economy Reopens

3PL near St. Louis, MO opens state of the art 216,000 Square Foot warehouse on expanding Southern Illinois campus adding to supply chain capacity and local tax revenue

NASHVILLE, IL (June 14, 2021) — The COVID-19 pandemic didn’t do global supply chains any favors getting goods from point A to point B, but with economies starting to move again, a long-time third-party logistics provider (3PL) has been preparing over the last several months for product makers to speed up manufacturing.

NOTS Logistics, which celebrates its 40th anniversary later this summer, just opened its latest warehouse, a sprawling 216,000 state of the art facility on its Nashville, Illinois campus and its beginning to fill up with consumable durable goods.

“Our warehouse is designed to accommodate anything really, but we have been approached by several companies looking to ship durable consumable goods like toilet paper, paper towels and disinfecting wipes since opening,” said NOTS Logistics President Andy Kirchner.

The new warehouse, called Building 24, not only adds to NOTS Logistics growing campus of more than 4 million square feet of warehousing capacity, but also adds critical capacity to the region’s supply chain as companies start to move goods throughout the country at a faster rate than in the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This new warehouse offers amenities many of our customers look for, like dedicated office space, ESFR sprinkler system and great proximity to an interstate,” said Kevin J. Brink, Vice President of Business Development.

The space can also be subdivided or customized to meet any customer’s needs and includes experienced logistics staff to handle inbound and outbound coordination, inventory and reverse logistics.

Customers shouldn’t have to worry about hiring staff to fulfil the logistics process,” added Kirchner. An experienced logistics partner handles the entire process from end to end.”

The new warehouse not only provides capacity to the Midwest region’s supply chain but also adds to the Nashville and Washington County commercial tax base.
